Mushroom hunting & foraging
A private autumn morning reading the forest floor with a mushroom-identification certified guide — porcini, ecology, and the quiet thrill of the hunt.
Read the forest like a forager
The week after the first autumn rains opens a narrow window. We head into chestnut and beech woodland and I show you how I read the ground — the trees, the slope, the moisture, the telltale signs that something is pushing up through the leaf litter.
This is educational and observational. You'll learn to identify the prize species and, just as importantly, the dangerous look-alikes. We stay within the rules: on tours we identify and photograph, never collect commercially.
It's a slow, absorbing morning — equal parts treasure hunt and ecology lesson — and you'll leave able to walk an autumn wood and actually see it.

The booking process
Send your dates
Message me where you're staying, your preferred autumn dates and group size.
I propose a location
Based on your base, travel time and seasonal conditions, I suggest the right woodland — then we confirm the date.
I scout the day before
I personally check several habitats for the most productive ground. Sightings are never guaranteed — that's the authentic wild experience.
Final confirmation
I send exact meeting coordinates, recommended clothing and any last-minute updates.
Forage & learn
