Your Own Photographer on a Private Tuscan Nature Walk: Elopements, Honeymoons and Anniversaries

Most “couples photography” in Tuscany looks the same: a posed session in a vineyard, a Vespa on a gravel road, a studio setup dropped into a field. Beautiful, maybe, but staged.

I photograph couples the way I photograph everything else, on a real nature walk, and the guide planning the walk is the same person shooting it.

One person, two crafts

Most couples hire a location and a photographer separately. With me they are the same booking.

I am a certified environmental guide and a working photographer. That means I choose the walk and the light together: the ridge that glows at golden hour, the meadow in bloom that week, the forest clearing where the sun comes through. You are not marched to a photo spot. You are on a genuine private walk, and the photographs happen along it.

For honeymoons, anniversaries, proposals, and elopements

This suits a few kinds of day, all of them unhurried.

  • Honeymoons: the morning after the wedding, a slow walk and candid photos with no schedule.
  • Anniversaries: a return to Tuscany, marked with images that are not the usual restaurant selfie.
  • Proposals: a walk to a quiet viewpoint, with the camera already in place for the moment.
  • Intimate elopements: a small, private outdoor day rather than a big production.

One honest note: I am not a traditional wedding photographer. If you want a large ceremony covered, with a full day of formals and a reception, hire a wedding specialist. What I offer is the outdoor, two-people-and-a-view kind of day. That is the whole point of it.

Candid, not posed

The style is documentary, not “look at the camera and smile.”

I let the walk happen and photograph it: the conversation, the pause at the top, the light catching a face turned toward the view. A few gentle prompts, no stiff posing. You leave with images that look like the day actually felt, because they are.

Where we go

The location is chosen for the two of you and the light, not off a list.

Golden-hour ridgelines, spring wildflower meadows, misty forest clearings, the old aqueduct arches near Lucca. If you have a place that means something to you, we build the walk around it. The Nottolini aqueduct near Lucca, with its long run of stone arches, is a favourite for couples.

How it works

Simple: a walk, with a photographer who is also your guide.

You can book the outdoor photoshoot on its own, or add it to a guided hike so the whole day is covered, walk and images together. Tell me the occasion, the kind of landscape you love, and your dates, and I will suggest the walk and the light.
